BACKGROUND

A manufacturer of flexible PVC films and foils had severe problems with fouling. The cooling system, consisting of water tanks, pipes system, heat exchangers and cooling rolls was severely fouled. As a consequence, the cooling was not satisfying, production was suffering, and hence cleaning was necessary.

RESULTS

The results was very good. The water flow to the northern cooling tower was increased from 26 to 45 m³/h, an increase with 25 %. The water flow to the cooling rolls was increased from 1,1 to 19 m³/h, a ~600 % increase.
